ASN Stone
I had the best time visiting with ASN Stone yesterday. The amazing products and good business ethics were plentiful and I can’t wait to work with them in the future.
Whether I’m simply layering t-shirts or applying the practice to interiors, the ‘layered look’ has always been among my favorites. From making things just a little more interesting to lending themselves to great story telling and adding dimension and complexity, layers done right can be so wonderful.

Yesterday my boss brought up the idea of me going to Japan to help with a case. I calmly said sure, I’d go. Inside a smile a mile wide was bursting….Japan?! Besides Denmark (where I haven’t been since I was 12 / need to get back to asap!), Japan is like the place for my design mind to study everything and stare in awe. I hope this works out…sure I’d be working 10 hour days, but who cares- I’d be in Japan!
Talk about energizing! I am loving the Chevron pattern (an ode to the ancient Egyptians) on chairs, rugs, in fashion….just about anywhere! Careful using it with strong colors in the bedroom though- those zigs and zags could keep you up all night….That being said I should cover my bathroom in Chevron to stimulate myself early in the morning– when I guarantee you I’d rather still be in bed!
Although it may not feel like it here in San Francisco (rain? again?!), summer is upon us and it is my favorite season for so many reasons. Beach vacations on the horizon, bbqs with friends abound, lots of long weekends. Fashion is comfortable and relaxed. Seasonal produce is awesome this time of year and the days stay light longer and longer….
As an interior designer, a main goal for me is to provide comfort and happiness through environment, and it just feels so right this time of year to get outdoors a little more. But who doesn’t love the comforts of home, of shelter, of convenience? Well, luckily we don’t have to choose between the two and this is why I’m loving where the indoors meet out. xo, co
