It’s not so much about the designer names here, or a complex design scheme…but what I love about this interior is how honest and happy it somehow feels. I’m not usually a fan of wood panels, but I like the squares here, and the checkered floor in the hallway is so perfectly worn, it tells a story of life lived. It’s raining today and I’d love to have the day to myself with a fat stack of magazines! That and the gold cord exposed bulb pendant make this the interior of the day! Happy Tuesday…3 days til L.A.!!
This one comes from best friend MB of Widespread Life- I love the texture and weathered elements of this room, the architectural details- love the arched double doors!- the royal blue headboard, and the chandelier… it’s all just so charming.
Table, floor, lamp, anything!…Not just for walls, here are a few quick examples of successful rooms featuring some awesome mirrors and other light reflecting elements:
West Elm side tables, hanging art and wall mirror.
A bright white apartment bedroom w/ dark floors, floor mirror and glass chandelier. Perfect!
West Elm Parson’s Console Table.

I personally love white interiors– white walls, white bedding, the brighter the better! And what better accent than mirrors, glass, anything to reflect or let in light. For me, these interiors have the effect of creating a lightness within– fresh and free! What do you guys think? I know at least one person who agrees with me– thanks SP for the post idea!
Happy Friday my lovely friends! It’s a wonderful day….xo, co
