Interior of the Day

Via BloodandChampagne

Love it. Subway tiles (fav), rustic wood juxtaposed with high gloss red, great textile choices and the attention to detail here make this my interior pick of the day. xo

Bodie and Fou Pom Poms

I am in love. I came across the French delight, Elitis, today and can’t stop staring at — or touching — these awesome wall coverings and fabrics….

One Kearny / Herman Miller Showroom

After our Interior Finishes and Materials final exam yesterday, we walked over to the Herman Miller showroom at One Kearny and got a little history about the company and a look around their space on the 9th floor. We were also escorted up to the private 11th floor, which is a newly remodeled retreat or conference space rented out by the owner of the building and full of great Herman Miller pieces.

Happy Earth

I’m really excited about Vitamin Green, a book about contemporary sustainable design and architecture from around the world, which I discovered over at Refinery 29, and out later this month.   Here’s a peek at a couple of the projects inside:

A public garden thrives in NYC, where an abandoned railway used to be

Harmonia 57, a building with a plant based exterior, bringing San Paulo, Brazil some extra fresh air

Check out more pictures and read more about the book (which is sustainable itself! cover, recycled egg cartons and pages, sustainably sourced paper) here. Happy happy Friday my friends. xo.

Interior of the Day

Just because you don’t have a lot of space doesn’t mean can’t have a lot of great design details! I love the pops of color, pattern and texture here and that makes this my interior of the day:

Interior of the Day

I love the mix of large and small tiles, the marble on the sink and tub, the wood slatted floor near the tub, all the great grays and whites and of course the beautiful natural light- you can’t beat that! Here’s my interior of the day:
