Look of the Day

Via wit + delight tumblr

Boyfriend jeans, smooth layers, a chunky sweater and even chunkier bracelets topped with a fat gold watch and metallic clutch make this my look of the day….love. Via wit + delight tumblr, a favorite.

Just ’cause…

Too all over the place to put together a logical post, but I wanted to share these images just because….they make me smile. I guess sometimes that is enough…or more than enough.. Finding simple pleasures when life is getting complicated…yes. I’ll take it.  xo

Look of the Day

I am so in love with the long  flowy hair and sheer skirt, the bag, the simple black t, the rings, the nails, the lipstick and nail polish, the shore…all of it! Cheer friends, happy spring fashion. xo

{O is for Ombre}

It’s time for a change and I think I’ll start where any sensible girl would-with my hair! I know this trend has been around, but I just love love it, and with no blonde roots, it’s super low maintenance.  Let’s go super ombre!

Slightly Obsessed

Valentina Ad

Freja Beha Erichsen for Valentino

Print Ad

Three out of three people I encountered while wearing a sample of this new perfume last night (it’s not being released for sale until 3/14 here) either complimented me on how good I smelled or asked me what perfume I was wearing and then complimented me on how good I smelled. Consider the pre-order complete, Mike at Nordstroms Fragrance Dept.  I am obsessed with this gem by Valentino (you have to smell it) and in love with the Danish model, Freja Beha Erichsen, behind the ad campaign.

Design San Francisco

Yesterday was a lovely February San Francisco day (today’s not bad either!) and I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at the San Francisco Design Center, amidst the Design San Francisco event and the winter market. First I toured the lovely Baker showroom. Then I sat in on an inspiring and very informational panel discussion regarding licensing versus manufacturing furniture and the likes. Finally, I strolled the grounds of Restoration Hardware, wine in hand…lovely event, wonderful design center! Here’s to San Francisco and good design…enjoy my humble photos.

The Layered Look

Whether I’m simply layering t-shirts or applying the practice to interiors, the ‘layered look’ has always been among my favorites. From making things just a little more interesting to lending themselves to great story telling and adding dimension and complexity, layers done right can be so wonderful.
